HOME is an Acronym for...

Holistically Organized Multidisciplinary Endeavors, which basically means we like to do stuff.   And make things.   And learn more stuff.  And build things.  But we like to make sure that all that stuff is interconnected, intentional, and inspiring.

I’m Alison. I do the website stuff around here.  I like to write stuff down because someday we might forget little details about the past.  And life’s all about the little things, right?  I also like to write stuff because it inspires people. I know I’m always inspired by other people doing stuff and making things and then sharing them.

The Build: Our Earthbag Home

We live off-grid in Oklahoma, where we built our home out of earth. This sustainable building method is sometimes called rammed earth,
similar to adobe, but constructed with bags as forms.
